The Gardner-Webb University Athletic Performance Department is accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant. Gardner-Webb University is a private, Christian university in Boiling Springs, NC home to 22 NCAA Division I Athletics Programs. Applicants should have the ability to excel within a collaborative team environment, possess strong work ethic, and be an effective communicator. Applicants must also have a strong desire to further career in the field of Athletic Performance/Strength & Conditioning while having a strong commitment to Christian higher education.

Compensation: The Graduate Assistant position is a two-year commitment with an intended start date of July 1, 2019. This position provides tuition remission for up to 18 graduate hours per year as well as a $5,500 stipend spread throughout the year. You must be accepted into the Gardner-Webb Graduate School prior to employment. The position is subject to a university background check and drug test.

Responsibilities: Assist in all aspects of the Gardner-Webb Athletic Performance program; design and implement specific training programs for 4-5 Olympic team sports & assist with training Football; effectively teach and execute proper technique for weight room, speed, plyometric, and COD drills; assist with maintenance and upkeep of the Athletic Performance facility; and demonstrate compliance with all appropriate university, Big South Conference, and NCAA rules/regulations.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required; current CPR/AED & First Aid certification required; working toward or already obtained SCCC-CSCCa, and/or CSCS-NSCA; experience working with a variety of teams in the NCAA setting; proficiency with Microsoft Office programs & Athletic Performance/Strength & Conditioning related technology.
