The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill (3) Fall/Spring internship positions that will begin August 1, 2019. This is an UNPAID position, however, interns have the opportunity to earn the required hours to complete the SCCC certification.
Selected Candidates will gain invaluable practical experience working with football and various other Olympic sports (including, but not limited to: men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, wrestling, etc.) while being provided an opportunity to learn and grow through professional development, continuing education, and expansion of network connections.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assist in setup and breakdown of training sessions, implementation of workouts, teaching and coaching of proper lifting techniques, completion of internship curriculum and daily facility upkeep.
Qualifications include: possess or working towards certification through CSCCa and/or NSCA, strong work ethic, attention to detail, eagerness to learn, effective communication skills, positive energy, and a desire to be a strength and conditioning coach.
