Description:
Glenville State College is looking for a highly motivated individual, to serve as a graduate assistant for Strength and Conditioning Department in an Assistant Coach Roll. The Candidate will report to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and the Director of Athletics, and will serve a 10 month annual appointment.

Examples of Duties:
-Program design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for 2-3 assigned sports, as well as assist with all of the other sports at Glenville State College
-Establish and maintain communication with sport coaches, athletic training staff and administration.
-Properly demonstrate all movements and drills associated with S&C program
-Assist in the Daily upkeep and maintenance of the Strength and Conditioning Facility.
-Possess a willingness and desire to learn and grow in the strength and conditioning profession.

Typical Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree
-Must hold or be working towards a nationally accredited certification (SCCC, USAW, CSCS).
-Candidates must also be CPR/AED certified.

Preferred:
-Previous strength and conditioning experience in the collegiate setting. Candidate should be highly disciplined, possess the requisite qualities for the profession, and be able to handle a high workload in a demanding environment. Qualified applicants must possess the desire to become a full-time strength and conditioning coach.

Basic Position Benefits:
Lodging in campus housing.
$1000 food stipend in the campus dining hall ( $500 per semester)
$4000 salary stipend ( $2000 per semester)
Up to six credit hours of paid graduate school through Salem University
