Fairleigh Dickinson University is seeking a graduate assistant coach for strength and conditioning starting immediately for this Fall 2019. This two-year position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of sports performance department for 19 NCAA Div. I athletic programs. This position will be in charge of assigned teams and others duties assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Tuition is waived for Master’s degree program (Masters of Sports Administration). Allowed to take 9 credits per semester and there are some academic fees. This is an unpaid position otherwise (no stipend, housing or meals).

Job Description:
Fairleigh Dickinson University, a member of the NCAA Division I, located in Hackensack, NJ, invites applications for a graduate assistant in Strength & Conditioning. The responsibilities include coordination of assigned teams' training schedules; supervision of lifts, conditioning sessions, and other training events; establishment and maintenance of proper communication with sport coaches, athletic trainers, athletics staff, and the strength & conditioning staff; designing training programs and making necessary modifications when needed; teaching and executing proper technique of lifts and drills; assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of training facilities; adherence to all Fairleigh Dickinson University, NCAA, and Conference rules/regulations; assisting strength & conditioning coaches in testing and monitoring athletes as needed; and performance of any other duties as may be assigned. In this position, you report directly to the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Requirements:
A bachelor's degree is required, acceptance into graduate school at FDU, strong work ethic, CPR/ AED certification, previous participation and/or coaching experience are preferred. Certification through CSCCa (SCCC) or NSCA (CSCS) required.
