The Intercollegiate Athletics Department at The University of Tennessee at Martin, an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Ohio Valley athletic conference, is seeking qualified applicants for a Graduate Assistant Director of Strength and Performance Coach position (12-month administrative professional). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assisting with all phases of the Division I Strength and Conditioning Program, including:
Facility scheduling;
Practice and game day coaching;
Compliance with NCAA and Ohio Valley Conference rules and regulations;
Working in coordination with the other domains (Nutrition, Sports Medicine, and Psychology);
Coordination with sport coaches; and
Providing supervision of interns and volunteers.

Required Qualifications:

Must have an undergraduate degree, training and work experience or equivalent;
Must be in pursuit of an advanced degree and meet the guidelines of the UT Martin's graduate program
Weight training certification from CSCCa (SCCC) or NSCA (CSCS) or an accredited certification program that meets the guidelines of the NCAA;
Demonstrated experience as a weight/strength coach at the university, NCAA or professional-level (a minimum of one year of experience is strongly desired); and
Experience in general maintenance and repair of a weight room.
