The UMass Football Strength and Conditioning program is looking to fill unpaid intern positions for the Spring and potentially Summer of 2021. Individuals that are hired will gain valuable knowledge of strength and conditioning that is aimed to prepare them for the next step in their strength and conditioning career. Opportunities include the ability to work with performance monitoring technologies such as GPS monitoring systems, gaining an understanding of what it takes to run a Strength and Conditioning program, and earning valuable recommendations for future job opportunities. Qualifications for the position are a strong work ethic, working knowledge of strength and conditioning, pursuing CSCCA, NSCA, or USAW certification, and a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning coach. Responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of programming and team accountability protocol, aiding in set up and break down of lifts, and assisting with daily nutrition operations.
