This position reports to the Director of Strength and Conditioning and is directly responsible for designing and implementing strength and conditioning training programs for assigned teams. This position will also assist the strength and conditioning staff with the training of other varsity athletic teams. Experience in various strength straining concepts and methods are preferable as well as the ability to teach the Olympic lifts.
Other duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in the day to day cleaning, maintenance, and operation of the Strength and Conditioning facility, the ability to effectively work and communicate with staff, coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and administrators, and participate in educational projects and assignments
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field.
Must be accepted to the UNO College of Graduate Studies by start date (August 2021).
Completion of a background check
CSCCA certification or NSCA (CSCS)
Preferred qualifications: Completion of at least one internship in the strength and conditioning field.
USA Weightlifting (USAW) certification
