The Virginia Commonwealth men's basketball strength and conditioning staff are seeking one (1) UNPAID internship for the 2021-22 season (1 year). The qualified candidate would work exclusively with the VCU men's basketball team.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

-set up and take down before and every lift

-clean and maintain weight room and equipment

-assist head strength and conditioning coach during training sessions

-provide nutritional assistance to players

The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to learn from a Master Strength coach and earn internship hours to allow them to take the SCCC certification through the CSCCa. Upon the conclusion of the internship, the qualified candidate will have the opportunity to apply to the Center for Sport Leadership Masters program at VCU while becoming the Graduate Assistant of Strength and Conditioning for men's basketball.

Minimum requirements are a Bachelor's degree in a related field, working towards or attained CSCS or SCCC certification through the NSCA or CSCCa, working towards or certified in First Aid/CPR/AED. A qualified candidate must have a desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach.
