Description:
Jacksonville State University Strength & Conditioning searching for qualified individuals to fill two Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach positions. These positions are expected to start July, 2021.The ideal candidate(s) should be seeking a career as a strength and conditioning coach.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Programming and implementation of assigned sports from Head Strength Coach.
-Helping in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs while creating a positive training environment for all 16 Varsity Sports.
-Hands on experience assisting with the daily operations of the weight room
-Develop an understanding of the health, safety, and wellness of collegiate student-athletes.
-Completing the educational curriculum
-Use of technology/data analysis and professional development throughout the program.
-Facility/equipment maintenance

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field required.
- Master’s Degree in exercise science or related field of study to qualify.
- Actively pursuing SCCC/CSCS/USAW
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- A desire to become a strength and conditioning professional
-Strong work ethic with a great sense of urgency and attention to detail

Compensation: This position is ½ scholarship (including tuition, books, partial meal plan). You will gain experience training a variety of sports as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Strength and Conditioning.
