Michelle Diltz

The Future Strength Coach

Michelle Martin Diltz is the Associate Director of Performance, Olympic Sports at The University of Alabama for the national championship Softball, Women's Golf, and Cheerleading teams as well as the dance team since 2005. During this time she has had the opportunity to be part of 6 SEC Softball Championships and 3 SEC Woman's Golf Championships. While at Alabama she has also worked with football, woman's basketball, and track and field.

A native of Abilene, Texas, Michelle earned her bachelor of science in kinesiology from Texas Woman's University in 2002, where she played outfield for the Pioneer softball team under NFCA Hall of Fame Coach Diane Baker. She then earned her master of science in sports physiology from Texas A&M University in 2005, with a focus on the performance of athletes.

During her career, Michelle has earned certifications from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) along with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and the Functional Movement Specialist Level 1 certifications. She is also TPI level 1 and Fitness level 2 certified. She has also authored many articles and contributed to books as well been a speaker at CSCCa, NSCA, NATA, and NFCA clinics and conferences.

Michelle has been very active in the CSCCa since attending her first National Conference in 2005. She was honored as part of the MSCC class 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas, where her mentor Coach Terry Jones presented her with her Master Strength Coach jacket. As of May 2023, Michelle is currently part of the CSCCa Board of Directors after serving on the CSCCa Certification Committee for 7 years.

Michelle lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with her husband, BJ, and daughter, Brady.
