Rick Court

Director of Athletic Strength and Performance

Rick Court is currently in his 20th year coaching student athletes. Previously Court was the Assistant AD of Football Performance at Maryland,, Prior to UMD He was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Mississippi State University where he oversaw all strength and conditioning practices of the entire athletic department with an Emphasis on Football. At Mississippi State he oversaw the football team that went from being unranked in the preseason to being ranked #1 in country for the first time in school history. Prior to Mississippi State he was the Associate Director of Football Strength and Conditioning at The Ohio State University where they complied a 24-2 recorded over his two seasons. He has also been the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach at San Diego State, Director of Football Strength and Conditioning at the University of Toledo, and was an assistant strength coach at Bowling Green State University.

Court is a graduate of Michigan State University where he played baseball and completed an internship with the Spartans Olympic sports and Football team. He then earned a Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Eastern Kentucky University.

Coach Court has had great mentoring along the way from: Tim "Red" Wakeham, Mike Vorkapich, Aaron Wellman and Ken Mannie from Michigan State , Aaron Hillmann from BGSU and Mickey Marotti from The Ohio State University. He is also grateful for all the unbelievable staff members he has worked with along the way including his current staff of: Niko Palazeti, Chris Jurek and Antonio Turner.
