Director of Track & Field Strength and Conditioning

Summary Of Job Duties

The Director of Track & Field Strength and Conditioning will prepare student-athletes at the University of Arkansas for the rigor and demands of intercollegiate competition through the utilization of total athletic enhancement training on an individualized as well as team specific basis. The primary function of this position is the management of athletic performance preparation including, but not limited to, the application of appropriate motivational techniques, instruction in safe and correct execution of all training parameters. Will developing and implementing training regimens, monitoring athlete progress, and ensuring that conditioning practices align with the overall goals of the track and field program.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least two years of demonstrated experience working with both male and female athletes in a Division I strength and conditioning program
At least two years of experience working with a Division I track and field program
First Aid, AED, and CPR certified
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and/or Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC)
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience and strong background in using excel for a variety of different training programs
Experience with various technology to monitor athlete performance parameters
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Expertise in strength training, conditioning techniques, and sports performance optimization
In-depth understanding of track and field events, biomechanics, and sports physiology
Knowledge of current trends and research in strength and conditioning and sports science
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with athletes, coaches, and support staff
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
