Director, Athletic Performance

The Director, Athletic Performance is responsible for the supervision of Athletic Performance unit and serve as the primary strength and conditioning coach for football.

Administrative day to day activities for Athletic Performance Unit including:

- Supervising staff including student-athlete education and performance training; nutrition; budget; unit communication with athletics administration; and supervision of Lawson Success Center.
- Direct strength and conditioning training of football student-athletes including warm-ups and cool downs for practices and contests when available.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

- Ability to educate student-athletes in strength & conditioning.
- Ability to educate student-athletes in lifestyle nutrition.
- Ability to educate student-athletes in regeneration methods.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to supervise people.
- Ability to work well with others and maintain professional demeanor.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of GPS data collection and analytics.

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related field
- Certification from approved governing body (CSCCa, NSCA, USA-W), CPR/AED/First Aid certifications)
- Minimum of 3 years of intercollegiate strength and conditioning experience
- A valid driver's license.

Preferred qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related field
- Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) certification
- Experience with GPS or other wearable technology
- Personal involvement in competitive sport
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
