The University of Toledo is seeking applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning position for Olympic Sports beginning in the Fall 2021.
Interested applicants must be highly motivated, organized, have good interpersonal skills, be able to motivate and educate, and have a strong interest in pursuing a career as a Strength and Conditioning coach.
Applicants will be directly responsible for assisting the Head and Assistant Strength Coach with the training of all other varsity athletic teams (excluding football). Experience in high intensity strength training concepts and methods is preferable as well as performing and/or teaching Olympic style lifts.
Other duties include but not limited to: assisting in the day to day cleaning, maintenance, and operation of facility; effectively work and communicate with staff, coaches, trainers, and administrators; organize and implement team and individual competition activities; and participate in educational projects and assignments. Experience in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
This is a 2 year program with opportunities for professional development (conferences and certifications). In state tuition, room and board stipend and books provided. Out of state surcharge is not covered.
A Bachelor’s degree and admission to the University of Toledo Graduate School is required.
Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches (SCCC), USA Weightlifting (USAW), or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification is preferred.
