Graduate Assistant Sports Performance Coach
Job Description
Eastern Michigan University Sports Performance is seeking qualified applicants for one
Graduate Assistant Sports Performance Coach. The primary responsibility of this position is to
oversee all aspects of sports performance for Baseball and assist with Football.
Responsibilities:
-Oversee all aspects of sports performance for baseball.
-Secondary responsibility is to assist in all aspects of sports performance for football, as
assigned.
-Weight Room Maintenance & Upkeep
-All other duties as assigned by the sports performance staff.
-Administration of sports performance technology including force plates & velocity based
training data.
-Work in coordination with other support staff such as nutrition and sports medicine.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field
-Must be CSCS or SCCC certified
-Must CPR/First Aid certified
-Previous coaching experience in a Division I setting
-Must be accepted into Eastern Michigan University’s graduate program
-Must have a minimum undergraduate grade point average of >3.0
-Must be prepared to work 8-12 hour shifts
-Schedule must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
-Expected to travel
Job Type: Part-time
Compensation: $9,000/year
