The Duke University Football Sports Performance Staff is now accepting applications for 1-2 interns to start as early as July 29, 2024. These are VOLUNTEER positions; however, completion of this internship can: (1) Fulfill credit hours toward your bachelor’s/master’s degree; (2) Pay for the CSCS certification through the NSCA; (3) Fulfill mentorship hours toward the SCCC certification through the CSCCA.

Selected applicants will get hands on experience working with various technology systems that include Catapult, Perch, and Vald. Daily responsibilities for these positions include but are not limited to assistance in the supervision of all aspects of training of the Duke University football team. Including: set up and breakdown for daily sports performance activities, routine maintenance, cleaning, & organization of the training facility. Desired characteristics for candidates include strong work ethic, desire to enhance knowledge in all aspects of strength and conditioning, attention to detail, punctuality, and accountability.

Preferred qualifications: Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s Degree in the exercise science or other related field; CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. Previous experience in a sport performance/strength and conditioning program, or having prior collegiate athletics experience is also considered.
