General Summary:
Assist the Director of Strength and Conditioning with the design and implement of the strength and conditioning program for all Olympic Sports. Monitor and document workouts to ensure student athlete safety and health.
1. Develop strength training and conditioning programs for designated sports with safety and health paramount. 40%
2. Direct, instruct and monitor all strength and conditioning workouts for designated teams. 40%
3. Document workout programs in accordance with NCAA policies. 10%
4. Perform routine maintenance of equipment and cleaning facility. 5%
5. Other duties as assigned. 5%
Qualifications (Indicate minimum required to qualify or perform this job.)
Education/experience/licensing:
-Bachelor’s degree required
-3 years as collegiate strength and conditioning coach, preferably at Div 1 level
- Current, valid Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches association certification (SCCC)
OR National Strength and Conditioning Association certification (CSCS)
Communication and other skills:
- Regular communication with coaches, sports medicine staff
- Supervise and develop staff interns
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all strength and conditioning training sessions per NCAA guidelines
- Adherence to NCAA , MAC and UT policies and regulations
