The Sport Science intern is responsible for assisting in data collection of load monitoring and performance technology, generating practice reports for coaching staff, creating athlete profiles from athletic testing data, attend practices to manage load monitoring software and assisting with programming of athlete management system. Interns will attend mandatory weekly educational meetings to complete internship curriculum. Assist the sports science staff with any other projects.
Education:
-Must be pursuing a bachelors or masters in exercise science, kinesiology, engineering, data analytics or a related ---Completed relevant academic coursework preferred.
-A strong desire to work within the Sport Performance field.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Experience with Microsoft Excel.
-Experience in R, Matlab, Python, or Power BI a plus
-Ability to learn other software programs.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as written and oral communication skills
-Strong procedural writing skills a plus
-Ability to work non-traditional schedule, including nights and weekends, depending on sport practice schedules.
