Vanderbilt University is currently accepting applications for a Volunteer Internship in Sports Performance for the Spring 2025 semester. This unpaid position will start on January 6, 2025, and conclude on May 1, 2025. The internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals aspiring to pursue a career as a Sports Performance Coach to gain practical experience within a high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the setup and breakdown of the weight room.
Maintain equipment and support the daily operations of the Sports Performance program.
Contribute to general tasks as needed, ensuring the smooth functioning of the facility.
Participate in a structured curriculum designed to enhance professional development in the field.
Qualifications:
Current pursuit or completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field is required.
Candidates should be actively working towards obtaining CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or SCCC (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified) certification.
Demonstrated professionalism, a strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and a passion for sports performance coaching are essential qualities.
