Bryant University is accepting applications for a Sports Performance Graduate Assistant. This is a two-year position with an expected start date of July 2025. Bryant University is an NCAA Division I program, sponsoring 25 varsity sports, and is a member of the America East and CAA (Football).
Responsibilities:
-Design and implement training programs for designated athletic teams.
-Assist in the implementation of the training programs for other teams as assigned.
-Assist the Sports Performance staff with the day-to-day operations of the weight room.
-Communicate with Head Coaches about the training program for their teams. Advise coaches on pre-game and pre-practice protocols as well as post activity needs.
-Conduct performance testing of assigned athletes. Keep accurate and up-to-date records.
-Communicate with athletic training staff regarding athletes’ health and limitations.
-Adhere to NCAA rules and be fully informed regarding institutional compliance with the NCAA, America East, and CAA rules.
-Other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
The compensation for this position includes a full tuition waiver, housing, and a $1,500 stipend per semester starting August 1, 2025. Graduate School is a 2-year part-time program beginning August 2025 through August 2027. This position will also have the opportunity to learn under a MSCC and gain the 640 practicum/internship hours under a CSCCa approved mentor that is required for the SCCC exam.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field
-SCCC or CSCS certification, and a CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
-Final candidates are subject to acceptance into graduate school before hire date - Bryant University Graduate Program (Two Year MBA program)
