ROLE TITLE: Assistant Peak Performance Coach


REPORTS TO: Head Peak Performance Coach

Position Summary


The Assistant Peak Performance Coach supports the Head Coach in developing and implementing year-round strength and conditioning programs for varsity athletes. This role focuses on performance enhancement, injury prevention, and fitness facility operations, while also collaborating with coaches, athletic trainers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

Design and implement strength, conditioning, and injury prevention programs for all varsity sports.

Supervise and coach athletes during workouts to ensure safe and effective training.


Collaborate with Athletic Training staff to adjust programming based on athlete needs and assist with return-to-play protocols.

Coordinate team weight room schedules and assist coaches in building team culture and communication.

Maintain and support the Peak Performance Fueling Station, including upkeep, supply management, and cleanliness.

Manage and maintain equipment in the Wise Center, perform minor repairs, and assist with vendor coordination for upgrades.

Participate in department decision-making, committees, and coach development initiatives.

Adhere to NCAA, conference, and college rules and model professional conduct.

Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

2—3 years of relevant experience.

Certification required: CSCS (NSCA), or MSCC/SCCC (CSCCa).

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to support the College’s mission and promote a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Compensation


This is a full-time, exempt position with an expected starting salary of $33,280 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
