Sam Contorno is in her second year as the Associate Director of Applied Sports Science for the University of Texas Football Program. Contorno spent the 2022 Season as the Coordinator of Football Sports Science at the University of Maryland.
Contorno spent five seasons (2017-2021) as a Sports Performance Coach and Applied Sports Science Coordinator for the Stanford University Football Program. While at Stanford, she also held roles as the Football Sports Nutritionist, and Sports Performance Coach for Men’s Volleyball & Women’s Lightweight Crew.
A native of Bethel, Connecticut, Contorno graduated from Binghamton University (NY) with a Bachelors of Science in Molecular Integrative Neuroscience and a minor in Health & Wellness Studies, and received her Masters in Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport (CT). She is pursuing her Doctorate in Human Performance and Innovation through the University of Limerick.
