Chasing Metrics That Matter: Enhancing Baseball Performance Through Force Plate Data

In this session, Don Day will explore the essential metrics that drive elite baseball performance, focusing on how to leverage force plate data to improve throwing velocity and athletic output. Drawing on years of experience training professional baseball players, and multiple draft picks, Don will provide actionable strategies for identifying and developing the physical qualities that matter most. Attendees will gain insights into key metrics like peak power, reactive strength index (RSI), and strength-to-body weight ratios, and learn how to translate these into tailored, results-oriented training plans. Combining science with practical application, this presentation is designed to help strength coaches at all levels chase the metrics that lead to real-world success.
