Brett Hayes is a highly accomplished healthcare executive with over 20 years of leadership experience spanning sports medicine, clinical therapy, operations management, and program innovation. A versatile and patient-centered professional, he has a proven track record of driving revenue growth, enhancing clinical outcomes, and integrating cutting-edge technologies in healthcare organizations. Brett’s expertise includes marker-less motion capture, biomechanical evaluation, and bridging the gap between athletic health and therapy. Currently serving as Vice President of Sports Medicine for University of Louisville Health Care, Brett leads the development of comprehensive sports medicine systems, collaborating with physicians, surgeons, and academic institutions. He successfully negotiated a $40 million contract between UofL Health and UofL Athletics, spearheaded research initiatives, and integrated advanced technology into sports science and healthcare delivery. Previously, as Executive Vice President of Operations at Community Health Partners, Brett consulted on athletic development, YMCA-integrated medical programs, and performance center initiatives, including collaborations with the U.S. Army Special Forces. His tenure at Confluent Health further solidified his reputation as a visionary leader, where he advanced mergers and acquisitions, developed clinical programs, and forged strategic payer relationships for innovative payment models. At University of Missouri Health Care, Brett transformed outpatient therapy services, growing revenue from $300,000 to $4.2 million annually and integrating groundbreaking technologies such as blood flow restriction therapy and marker-less biomechanical motion capture. His leadership extended to pioneering the concept of “Athletic Health,” uniting therapy and performance enhancement for athletes. Earlier in his career, Brett founded Gridiron Rehab and Athletic Fitness, establishing a thriving private practice focused on advanced sports medicine methodologies. His entrepreneurial spirit and innovative approach to ACL prevention and pre-season training have left a lasting impact on athletic and non-athletic populations alike. Brett holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Pacific University, where he earned recognition as the Outstanding Physical Therapy Graduate.
