For this segment, Coach Steve Rassel will identify a framework and process that can be used to structure an individualized in-depth staff mentorship program, from assistants all the way down to interns. During this presentation, attendees will challenge their current staff mentorship structure, and will walk through an action plan to maximize the responsibility of staff development.
Steve Rassel is currently the Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for the Toronto Blue Jays. For a decade prior to that, he served at Webber International University as the Associate Athletic Director and HEad Strength & Conditioning Coach. Before Webber Coach Rassel's career began with the Boston Red Sox, followed by a stint with the Chicago Cubs. Coach Rassel has presented countless times on topics dealith with staff mentorship, young strength & conditioning coach development, and creating & advancing a strength & conditioning department. He was named a finalist for the 2017 and 2019 NSCA College Strength & Conditionign Coach of the Year awared. He is certified htrough the National Strength & Conditioning Association as a CSCS*D and RSCC, and throught the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association as an SCCC and Aproved Mentor. He lives in Trinity, Florida with is wife, Dr. Brittany Rassel, four-year-old son, Stephen III, and three-year-old son, Brayden.
