Chad Workman has been working in collegiate strength and conditioning since 2009. He has been a member of the CSCCa since 2013 when he obtained his SCCC and was been designated an MSCC in 2024. Chad serves as the Assistant Director of Sports Performance at the University of Louisville. Currently, he oversees performance program design and implementation for field hockey, men’s soccer, and men’s tennis. Chad also leads the mentorship program with UofL Sports Performance.
Coach Workman has also had stints as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at UNC Chapel Hill from 2015-2018, Virginia Commonwealth University from 2013-2015, and UNC-Greensboro from 2009-2011. Chad received a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in strength and conditioning from University of Louisville in 2013 while also working with UofL’s athletic programs as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach. Chad also obtained a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from UNC Greensboro in 2009 and is also currently pursuing a PhD in Sports Administration at UofL.
Chad is originally from Thomasville, NC. He and his wife Kelly have a daughter, Davis. Chad has competed in both powerlifting and weightlifting, but enjoys exploring different activities such as bouldering, mountain biking, and hiking.
