Tracy Zimmer, MS, RSCC*D, SCCC, USAW, USATF, CES, FMS, HKC
Tracy Zimmer is the Assistant Director for Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning at the University of Florida where she works with Lacrosse and Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving. Prior to joining the Gators, Zimmer spent the 2019 NFL Training Camp/Pre-Season as a Strength and Conditioning Intern with the Atlanta Falcons, serving as Bill Walsh Fellow.
Zimmer worked at the University of Pennsylvania for 9 years as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach where she was responsible for several sports: Football, Men’s & Women's Lacrosse, Track & Field (Men’s & Women's XC, Mid-Distance, and Jumpers), Women's Rowing, Men’s & Women's Squash, and Women's Tennis. In addition to coaching, Zimmer handled all administrative details for Penn Strength and Conditioning.
When the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) emerged, Zimmer served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the league from 2018-2020. From 2016-2019, Zimmer worked for Ultimate Lacrosse as both a Head Coach and Director of Strength and Conditioning. She served as the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Holy Family University for the 2017 season. In May 2019, she was invited to guest coach for the Women’s Italian National Lacrosse team’s final training weekend in preparation for Euro Championships.
Zimmer served as a Sport Performance Member Circle Co-Lead for Women Leaders in College Sports from 2019-2022, and is Vice Chair of the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) Lacrosse Special Interest Group (SIG).
In 2010, Zimmer earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Temple University where she was a member of the Women's Lacrosse team and a two-time team captain. As a senior, she was named First-Team All-Atlantic 10 and also earned a spot on the conference's All-Tournament Team. Zimmer earned her Master of Science from Temple in 2014.
Zimmer has competed powerlifting and holds the Pennsylvania state squat record (182.5kg) in USAPL. She has fought in amateur Muay Thai, is a bodybuilding/physique champion, and competed in the Florida Grid League for two seasons.
Zimmer is a Registered Strength & Conditioning Coach with Distinction (RSCC*D), Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC), USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach (USAW), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), USA Track & Field Level 1 Coach (USATF), Functional Movement Screen (FMS) certified, Hardstyle Kettlebell Certified (HKC), and First Aid/CPR/AED Certified.
