Coach DeSanto was hired as the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning at Lincoln Memorial University in February 2019. With this role, he oversees all aspects for the Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Men’s Lacrosse, and Softball programs. Outside of standard training for his teams, he also is heavily involvement with all return to play protocols and baseline standards for his athletes.
On top of his team responsibilities, Coach DeSanto also spearheads the hiring, mentorship curriculum, and the overall development of the Graduate Assistants on staff. In the past 4 years, LMU has seen graduate assistants move on to full-time positions at Wagner College, Tennessee Tech University, Louisiana Tech University, Bryant University and Dayton University.
Prior to arriving at Lincoln Memorial, Coach DeSanto spent 2 and half years at Webber International University under the direction of Coach Steve Rassel. During his time at WIU, Coach DeSanto was promoted from a coaching assistant to a full time Assistant where he oversaw the Development of the Men’s and Women’s Soccer, both Tennis programs and assisting with Football. Coach DeSanto has also completed professional internships at the University of Kentucky and Wake Forest, where he worked with various Olympic Sports teams and athletes.
Coach DeSanto graduated from Lees-McRae College (DII) in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration and a Minor in Sports Science. He was also a member of the Men’s Soccer team for 4 years.
